IV Cannulation Workshop - Postponed

The Intravenous (IV) Cannulation workshop -
postponed to other dates. Will be inform then.
Participant of the workshop shall be those actively
involved in emergency ambulance service and passed the Basic Ambulance Care
Course and the compulsory attachment.

Baby just can't wait to see our new
ambulance

Another baby was delivered in EMAS ambulance, this
time, the baby was helped to deliver by EMAS staff Muhammad Jusri bin Jamaluddin.

On 11 May 2009, Jusri was on duty with EMAS
volunteer, Teh Chang Chiang, when Ismail, 39, fetch his wife, Falizah to EMAS
Base at Jalan Tengah to get help from EMAS. Falizah was experiencing labour pain
at that time, which initially the husband is planned to fetch her to hospital by
own car, but they having traffic jam difficulty.
" I was very panic at that time, with the massive
traffic jam, when I drove pass EMAS Base, I sudden think of them who can help me
and my wife. I turn into their base to get help from them." said Ismail.
Without delay, Jusri and Teh bring Falizah to
hospital with the EMAS ambulance, the new ambulance which was recently put into
service, donated by Kwong Wah Yit Poh Readers Caring Society Fund. Jusri
was taking care of Falizah while Teh was focus driving safely while alerting the
receiving hospital through radio link HEAR.
The baby just cannot wait till hospital, she was
help to deliver by Jusri while on the way.
" I am glad we learnt emergency childbirth in our
training. It was my first time to help to deliver a baby." said Jusri.
"Thanks to St. John Ambulance, this is my fifth
child". Falizah expressed her appreciation to St. John Ambulance when met in her
house.
To the team, Teh and Jusri, Congratulations, you
have done a good job!
